What you'll learn in JUMPSTART Training:

WEEK 1:

Identify Your Roadblocks

Learn your patterns: What's really stopping you time after time

We’ll cover the difference between procrastination and mental paralysis, and the many forms of paralysis common to ADHD adults  As you enter a new kind of self-awareness, you’ll learn to identify exactly what’s stopping you each time you can't get started on a task or project, and to see your own pattern of roadblocks.  

 

You’ll become proficient at using a simple technique to uncover the root cause of the problem, so that you can apply the right strategies and get the most impact in many areas of your life.

 

As a result, going forward you’ll have the tools to create strategic daily Intentions for productivity that are likely to succeed.

WEEK 2:

Procrastination & Habits: 

Move beyond motivation

In this module, you’ll learn the role that focus plays in your ability to get motivated to start a task, and the reason you’ve had difficulty starting in areas where procrastinating was sabotaging your own interests.  You’ll learn techniques for fooling your brain into providing hits of dopamine and adrenaline to get you going on boring tasks. 

 

Most importantly, you’ll create deliberate rituals in a way that is most likely to form automatic habits, so you won't be dependent on motivation to perform the necessary basic tasks of daily life.

WEEK 3:

Overcome Overwhelm

Defuse all your overwhelm triggers

You’ll gain insight into what triggers your sense of overwhelm each time you feel it, and which type of trigger you’re most susceptible to. You’ll learn strategies for breaking through your own overwhelmed paralysis with new understanding of what caused it. 

 

Identify your strong and weak modalities to see how the way you take in information may set off a sense of overwhelm, and what you can do to avoid that.

 

You’ll start to develop a real awareness of when you’re over-committing yourself, and how to break out of “magical thinking” about time that's so often a challenge for people with ADHD.

WEEK 4:

Break Down Complexity

Zap mountains into molehills

You’ll no longer be automatically paralyzed when faced with large or complex projects, as you learn how to break down a complex task into a series of short, actionable steps.  We’ll cover ways to categorize groups of tasks or steps into buckets for more efficient processing, using examples you can relate to in your own life.

 

You’ll learn how the mind mapping technique can be a boon to helping you plan out anything, from work, study, life events or even a difficult conversation.  As a bonus, you’ll see how mind-mapping gives you a fast, efficient approach to writing anything from an important email to a complex report.

WEEK 5:

Clarify the Unclear

End ambiguity and decide confidently

You’ll end paralysis caused by ambiguity when anything unknown stops you from starting your project.  Whether it’s unclear direction, unanswered questions, or you’re just not sure  what step to take, you’ll learn techniques to confidently move forward.

 

You’ll learn a clear process for deciding with confidence.  Using at tool that identifies and compares facts, as well as taking your own feelings into account, making a decision need no longer feel like entering a pit of uncertainty.
